World Day for Migrants and Refugees 2019

September 29, 2019

Welcome to the One Body: Immigrant Families and the Catholic Church in Minnesota Liturgical Toolkit!  As leaders of prayer, we can attest to the power of the Christian family gathered, united in love for God and for one another.  In the Eucharistic feast Christ transforms our hearts into living witnesses of God’s constancy, goodness, and grace.  As you peruse the One Body website, you will be caught up in Pope Francis’ message of hope for all God’s people, but most especially for migrants, refugees, and immigrants.  Our Liturgical Toolkit is one place among many where you can find resources for Mass as well as for liturgy outside Mass.  In addition, there are prayers, litanies, intercessions, and devotions dedicated to lifting up our immigrant sisters and brothers in prayer.

Pope Francis has asked the Universal Church to celebrate The 105thWorld Day of Refugees and Migrants on Sunday, September 29, 2019.   These suggestions for prayer, music, and liturgy are meant to aid in your preparation for this day of solidarity for those seeking a better life. They are meant to be used in any way you find practical for your community.  We hope to continue to add ideas for prayer and invite your participation in making this toolkit as user-friendly as possible.
