About Marlys Nygren
In 2018 Marlys became a member of Mayflower Church and promptly joined the Isaiah Core Team; she is learning about claiming her voice and developing her skills as an Isaiah leader. Throughout several decades, Marlys has been a persistent volunteer, with persons experiencing homelessness, youth who are separated from their families, women seeking to exit prostitution and persons struggling with mental health issues. She has served on the boards of several nonprofits and a church in downtown Minneapolis which she attended for over 20 years. Throughout her career, Marlys worked in social services and as an accountant for large and small corporations.
